![]() ![]() The roar of the party busses circling the streets and the incessant sound of sirens is your lullaby until late in the night. Remember that homeless people sleep and relive themselves in full view of your hotel window. The hotel is located close to the honky tonk district which woul be an advantage if you are in town to bar hop. In a hotel that caters to groups of often unrelated people sharing a room this is incomprehensible. The bathrooms suffered from that curse of trendy useless hotel design - the barn door - which provides neither privacy (both our doors both refused to stay shut, slowly sliding open on their own) nor sound deadening. The bathrooms seemed clean but the bedrooms were not, with thick dust on the shelves and dirt and crumbs on the floor under the chairs. The towels were of various sizes and quality too. The duvets were queen size but their covers were full size nor did the covers in the room match which makes you wonder if the hotel chain is in financial difficulty. Each bed had a duvet and a matching duvet cover, which unfortunately the staff had just laid on top of the dirty and stained duvets (mine had makeup and possibly dried blood) which relates to my point about staff training. The rooms were both supplied with a cute mini refrigerator and comfortably firm mattresses and a variety of pillows. As the days went on the toilet tissue was never replenished but they did eventually put a box of facial tissue in each room, which we substituted for the toilet tissue. Our rooms started with one new and one partial roll of toilet tissue each but no Kleenex. ![]() When I asked housekeeping to remedy this they sent a maid with a cart that was stocked with a smattering of random unmatched toiletries that she had to sort through to find shampoo and conditioner. When we arrived only one of our two rooms was stocked with toiletries. The hotel maids seemed to be trying but clearly were understaffed and undersupplied. Valets were courteous and efficient though consistently understaffed and the numerous desk clerks were nice but there were no bell staff to help with luggage. The staff were friendly but undertrained and poorly deployed. A tiny poorly stocked gift shop with an unhelpful clerk and a small lobby comprise the only other public spaces. A Starbucks is located in the building, thank goodness, because it’s the only breakfast option. ![]() Unfortunately it seems to be only open for dinner. The other was lovely with a wonderful wait staff, though they do not answer their phone nor do the open table reservations reflect availability. The hotel has minimal public spaces, There are only two restaurants, one of which is tiny hot and dirty and open to the above described pool. Our nine year old took one look at the crowd and begged to leave immediately. Oh my no! The pool was tiny and crowded with drunken Bachelorette party groups in skimpy swimsuits and middle aged men showing too much (belly) flesh hoping to get lucky. We booked the Margaritaville Hotel Nashville while in town for a four day hockey event because we thought it would be a fun place to stay for our teens and tweens with what seemed to be the only outside pool in town.
